Neurohospitalist needed in Kansas City, MOBC in Neurology w/ Inpatient experienceASAP - ongoing 1 week per month highly preferred Shifts are: Onsite daily from 7A-5P for rounding/consults; Night Call 5P-7A shared with other neurohospitalist on the scheduleAPP's cover the nights and will only call the physician on call as a backup.Patient census is 6-8 new consults per physician and 14-16 rounding patients per physician per day. This is a comprehensive stroke center and candidates must be comfortable with this setting.NeuroHospitalists will monitor the neuro critical care patients in the ICU when the Critical Care physician is not working (weekends and days off) along with night call consults from the NPs. NeuroHospitalist does not need to do procedures in the ICU, just round/monitor the neurology patients in the ICU when the critical care physician is off.EMR is MeditechBC, MO license, DEA, BLS and COVID vaccine required
